I Have Movers!

So by the skin of my teeth I managed to get all the necessary paperwork faxed and refaxed across the globe to get my move approved. More importantly, I managed to get the movers to come tomorrow. It took some begging and pleading, but eventually they were able to fit me in. Wow, I really didn't expect this to happen. And I'll have a whole day to spare. Silly me for thinking it would be close.

More preparations

Well, all the travel arrangements are sorted and I've got apartments lined up to view. Getting ready to sell the car and move the rest of the stuff out.

School

So inspite of their best efforts, I am now officially a diploma holding MS graduate. It has only taken four months to pry that little piece of paper out of them, but going down in person seemed to do wonders. Still, they did try to hand me a Computer Science degree instead. They insisted their computer was right and I insisted it was wrong; after about half an hour of serious looking discussions they decided to award me the degree I'd actually earned. And thus ends that whole saga.

First batch of move stuff is out the door. The rest will be following soon enough and then I can figure out how exactly it's going to make it's way over to my new country.

Blog Now Live

After much fussing the blog is now ready to go. Ignore all the previous postings, they are just there to enable the photo galleries and will drop out of sight soon. If I'm good I'll keep this updated reasonably regularly with details on my latest travels.

Updated Update

Getting even closer to going live. Just a few more changes to the way the galleries are organised and it'll be set. Once a couple more posts get made the galleries will fall off the main page and into the background where they're supposed to be.

Update

The blog is getting close to going live. The page layout is coming along pretty well and is probably stable for a while. Need to get working on linking images into this or at least linking back to an online album. It may be possible to make album pages here by using a little creativity, but I'm not sure I want to go through that much effort.
